Snoopy’s Story – Part 3 – Swimming Strengthens Beagle’s Leg Muscles

A VPN is an essential component of IT security, whether you’re just starting a business or are already up and running. Most business interactions and transactions happen online and VPN

I continued to swim Snoopy twice a week.  Snoopy’s swim sessions began with 20 minutes, including plenty of rest time in between each swim laps, increasing Snoopy’s swim time to 25-30 minutes as his stamina built.  Snoopy received light leg massage during his rest times and I always monitored his breathing and heart rate.  With each swim, we could see Snoopy’s back legs getting stronger and stronger.

During these first three months, for each swim session, Maureen (Snoopy’s foster Mom)  would carry Snoopy into my pool yard.  But imagine my surprise when I saw Snoopy walking into the pool yard – still a little wobbly, but he did it!

But once Snoopy started to walk again, his whole body language and attitude changed.  Snoopy looks happy!  That tail wag is a clear sign and Maureen tells me Snoopy is getting feisty!

When Maureen first took Snoopy in to foster, Snoopy was definitely up for adoption.  And people loved Snoopy!  (How could you not?)  Unfortunately, when people found out Snoopy’s IDD condition is permanent, may reoccur and Snoopy may need medical care for this disc injury during his lifetime, no one wanted to adopt him.

Want to know if Snoopy found a forever home?  Is Snoopy happy?  Any reoccurrence of injury?

Check back for Part 4 and the final chapter of Snoopy’s Story in a few days.
